Council guilty of discrimination

The cases were brought by two employees of Glasgow City Council, one Zimbabwean and the other of Indian origin. The Commission for Racial Equality said the court’s findings were a major concern and should be a wake-up call for all public authorities in Scotland. Glasgow City Council said it was studying the judgements. Clarence Bvunzai, a Zimbabwean, and Kuldip Dhesi, who is of Indian origin, both failed to be appointed to a job for which they had applied.
